By submitting goods to Cash4yourgold.ie, customers agree to all Terms and Conditions (T&C’s), irrespective of whether the Customer Declaration has been signed. These T&C’s are included within your FREE Cash4yourgold.ie Pack. Customers must be at least 18 years of age to sell items to Cash4yourgold.ie and must be the legal owner of all items submitted. Customers must act on their own behalf. Cash4yourgold.ie may request proof or documentation to ensure compliance with the company's T&C’s. Customers must guarantee that none of the items submitted have been obtained through illegal activities, either in Ireland or elsewhere. Additionally, customers must ensure that Cash4yourgold.ie will not be in violation of any laws related to money laundering, terrorism, or other legal statutes. Customers must not submit any hazardous materials or items that do not contain precious metals.

Posting and Insurance

Unfortunately, An Post does not offer a pre-paid insured service. However, you can rest assured that we will cover the cost of your postage when we process the payment for your gold. Please note that postage costs will only be reimbursed if the gold is sold and over insurance will not be reimbursed.

All items are submitted at the owner's risk until they are received and signed for by Cash4yourgold.ie. It is required that you provide the quantity of items being sent on the provided form, complete all other details in full, and sign the Customer Declaration. Cash4yourgold.ie reserves the right to reject any application and items if the information is incomplete or unsigned. Additionally, Cash4yourgold.ie reserves the right to reject the delivery of any package that appears to have been opened, damaged, or tampered with. Such packages will be returned to you free of charge and without any liability to Cash4yourgold.ie.

Gemstones in Your Consignment

Cash4yourGold.ie does not purchase gemstones. Any gemstones contained within items received will not be returned, as the removal of such stones is time-consuming and, in most cases, the labour charges incurred would far exceed the small profit margin that we may have in the item. We recommend that, if a stone holds sentimental value, you remove it before sending the item to us.

Cadmium in Jewellery

Cadmium is a heavy metal that has been associated with various medical issues, including kidney dysfunction and osteoarthritis. Recent global legislation has significantly reduced the presence of this metal in modern jewellery production. However, cadmium has historically been used for over a century in jewellery manufacture to add weight and provide a shiny finish to items. Due to stringent modern regulations regarding cadmium exposure, we are unable to process items, including older jewellery pieces, that contain cadmium in excess of 1%.

Gold Plated and Non-Gold Items

Please be advised that while we are willing to purchase gold items that are not hallmarked, we reserve the right to impose a €20 fee for the return of non gold items or disposal free of charge.

Mixed Carat Consignments

We are pleased to accept consignments comprising assorted carat or purity precious metals. Upon receipt, your items will be meticulously sorted, tested, and accurately weighed. Subsequently, a detailed breakdown of values per carat type or purity will be provided to you when we contact you via telephone or email to present an offer for purchase.

The Metal Calculators

The Calculator features are provided for the user's convenience and should be regarded solely as an approximation of the metal's price, contingent upon the accuracy of the information provided (based on the current market value of the metal on the day of use, and not necessarily the price of the metal on the day we receive your goods). Consequently, the price generated by the Metal Calculator shall not be considered a binding offer.

Valuation and Offer

Upon receipt, your items will be meticulously examined and/or tested by our trained valuation experts to determine their value, primarily based on current market values. Cash4yourgold.ie shall not be held liable for any damage caused during evalution or any resulting decrease in the value of the items. We will contact you by telephone to present an offer. In the event that we are unable to reach you, we will continue our attempts while securely holding your goods. If we are unsuccessful in contacting you after 28 days, we will remit payment of our offer to the address provided, and the items held against that payment will be cleared for submission to refiners. Any offer made is valid until 17:00 hours on the same day due to fluctuating prices. Once you have accepted our offer, the goods may be sent to refiners, and your acceptance is legally binding and irrevocable. Items of no value will not be returned unless specifically requested.

How Do I Get Paid?

Upon acceptance of an offer, payment details will be discussed and arranged with you. Our payment methods include bank transfers, which will be issued within 24 hours of acceptance. This service is provided free of charge.

Returned Items

The majority of our customers accept the offers we extend. However, should you choose to decline our offer, your items will be returned to you at no cost within five working days from the date of the declined offer. Please note that if you resend the same items, we cannot guarantee the same offer due to fluctuating market prices. Should our second offer be refused, we reserve the right to impose a charge of €20 for administration and handling costs. For packages that do not contain any precious metals, a €20 handling fee will be applied for their return, or they can be disposed of free of charge. Parcels of jewellery weighing less than 10 grams and without significant value will incur an administration fee of €20 for their return. Payment must be received within 28 days, or the items will be automatically disposed of. Please be aware that silver is not accepted unless sent with gold and will carry an administration fee for its return.

Undelivered Returned Items

In the event that AnPost is unable to deliver or obtain a signature, an instruction card will be left, and packages will be returned to the local delivery office for collection within a specified period. Should the items remain unclaimed within the given timeframe, they will be returned to us. We will then endeavor to make contact to arrange for the items to be resubmitted, which will incur an administrative charge of €20 to cover all associated costs. For returned cash payments to be resent, this will be done minus the €20 administration and handling costs. We reserve the right to purchase any items that have not been reclaimed within 21 days of initial contact, less deductions made for current prices and a €20 charge to cover administration, storage, and insurance.

Loss Liabilities In the unlikely event that goods are lost or misplaced once received, we will replace or cover the cost of replacement upon submission of proof of items and their value. Cash4yourgold.ie shall not be held liable for any items lost or damaged in transit. In the event of loss or damage, Cash4yourgold.ie will provide all relevant documentation required to make a claim from the carrier for the replacement or repair of the lost or damaged items. The customer also agrees to provide all information reasonably requested by us or the return carrier's insurance company to successfully process the claim

Unidentifiable Packages

In the event that our application form has not been correctly completed, we may be unable to identify the owner unless a name and address are visible on the envelope. While it is possible that we may trace the items back from our website, if this is not the case, the items will be deemed as lost property and securely held by us for a period of six months. To reclaim such items, the customer will be required to provide a full and detailed description before a new offer may be made at current prices, subject to a deduction to cover storage, insurance, and administration costs. Should no claim be made within the six-month period, the items will be sent to refiners to recover our storage costs of €10 per week. Any claim made thereafter will result in payment to the owner, less any applicable charges.

Claims

A customer wishing to submit a claim to Cash4yourgold.ie must notify us immediately to request a claim form. The claim form must be fully and accurately completed, signed, and posted to Cash4yourgold.ie in accordance with the claim form instructions. The customer must submit all supporting documentation with the completed and signed form. Failure to properly complete, sign, and post the claim form may result in the denial of the claim. There is a 14-day processing period from the time the claim form is received by us and the claim processed. Your statutory rights remain unaffected. All phone calls between Cash4yourgold.ie and its customers or potential customers may be recorded for security and training purposes. Any such recording may be relied upon by Cash4yourgold.ie in the event of any dispute.

Cash4yourgold.ie reserves the right to amend these T&C’s and advises customers to revisit our website, periodically to ensure awareness of our current T&C’s. If a customer sends items more than once, it is the customer's responsibility to check the T&C’s on each occasion to ensure knowledge of the latest T&C’s, by which the customer agrees to be bound by sending subsequent items to us.
